Thank You, JavaScriptLandia Individual Contributors

Phasing out the JavaScriptLandia Individual Contributor Program

Since its launch, JavaScriptLandia has given individual contributors a way to celebrate their connection to the JavaScript ecosystem and to OpenJS projects through a paid subscription. We’ve seen incredible nominations, badges, and recognitions, all powered by you, the community.

After thoughtful consideration, we will be phasing out the JavaScriptLandia individual contributor program. The final day of the program will be this Friday, December 5, 2025. We’re still keeping the JavaScriptLandia Community Awards to celebrate the great work being done by our collaborators.

This decision comes as we continue to focus on initiatives that scales across our global communities. While the program is winding down, our commitment to recognizing and celebrating contributions to the ecosystem is not going away. We are already exploring new ways to highlight community impact through OpenJS Foundation programs and events.

We want to sincerely thank every member who joined JavaScriptLandia, and proudly wore their digital badges. You helped shine a light on the people who make open source thrive.

Stay tuned for more updates on upcoming community programs from OpenJS Foundation.
