OpenJS Foundation creates partnership with MacStadium to improve developer productivity for Node.js
We’re happy to share that MacStadium is now an OpenJS Foundation strategic partner, providing key services for Node.js. For many developers and organizations, having dedicated Mac support in-house isn't always feasible. By partnering with MacStadium, Node.js developers can get the support they need to keep innovating.
MacStadium is more than just a provider of Mac cloud services, but also a team of passionate developers who are committed to supporting open source projects like Node.js. They understand the pain points that come with developing for macOS, and this is what drives them to build solutions that are tailored to the developer community.
“As users of open-source solutions ourselves, we are happy to partner with Node.js to empower the open source community to allow them to continue to push the boundaries of open-source software,” said Chris Chapman, Senior Vice President & Chief Technology Officer at MacStadium. “Important innovation on Apple products is happening through free and open source software. Through strategic partnerships, like with Node.js, and free tools like Orka Desktop, we are proud to be the backbone behind some of the tools developers use every day.”
With the continued rise of AI, open source is increasingly relying on these new technologies. By providing the necessary infrastructure and support for projects like Node.js, MacStadium is helping our community lay the groundwork for new AI-driven innovations to ensure that developers have the tools they need to integrate AI into their applications.
“Partnering with MacStadium is a significant step forward for the Node.js community to ensure long term stability of the project. Their support not only enhances the development experience for those building on macOS but also strengthens our open-source ecosystem,” said OpenJS Foundation Executive Director Robin Bender Ginn. “Through these partnerships, we're enabling developers to innovate faster and more efficiently, driving the future of app development."
“The partnership with MacStadium has not only accelerated our migration process but also enhanced our capabilities significantly for Node.js development,” said Ulises Gascón, Node.js core contributor and releaser. “The ongoing support and guidance we've received have been invaluable in ensuring a smooth and efficient transition for the project.”
