By partnering with the Foundation, vlt technology is well-positioned to contribute its expertise and help reshape the future of the JS ecosystem.
vlt technology is developing a new package manager and public registry infrastructure for the JavaScript community. While their product is still in pre-launch, the need for a secure and innovative package management system is clear. They are committed to supporting the JS ecosystem by addressing its challenges and building solutions to help developers navigate package management more effectively and securely.
“We believe that supporting the open-source community is essential to fostering innovation and security”, says Darcy Clarke, CEO at vlt technology. “Our commitment to the OpenJS Foundation demonstrates our dedication to securing critical OpenJS-hosted projects and investing in the maintainer ecosystem. These projects and the people behind them are near and dear to my heart, and I’m proud that, in our own small way, we can contribute to their sustainability and success.”
Excitement continues to build as it plans to make a significant splash at NodeConf EU, where it will introduce its new tools to the wider community. vlt technology leadership team consists of seasoned industry veterans, many of whom have played pivotal roles in the evolution of the Node.js and npm ecosystems. Their open-source journey began in the early days of jQuery, the Node.js Foundation, and the JS Foundation, and they are now ready to write the next chapter with vlt technology Inc.
CEO Darcy Clarke leads vlt's technology mission to enhance the developer experience, leveraging his passion for open source and experience as a Staff Engineering Manager for npm and GitHub CLI. He is joined by Isaac Schlueter, the creator of npm, whose leadership in the Node.js project was instrumental. Ruy Adorno, a member of the Node.js Technical Steering Committee, drives innovation at npm and GitHub, while Luke Karrys, the primary maintainer of Node-GYP and GitHub/npm alum, bolsters vlt technology position within the JS ecosystem.
vlt technology involvement in security collaborations and open source standards highlights its dedication to maintaining its solutions' highest safety and reliability standards. Their deep roots in the Node.js community and strong belief in open source uniquely position them to support the growing needs of developers and enterprises alike.
